This Week!

Hello again! Our assignment for Tech for ed this week was to post about our previous week in regards to our education classes and what we have been doing.  The one education class that I am in from BC3 is Children's Environment.  The past few weeks we have been learning about how prenatal actions taken by a mother can affect a child for the rest of there lives.  To me, this topic is very interesting but also sad at the same time just thinking how every decision we make affects children so drastically. In that same education course, we are planning our field placements for this upcoming fall semester.  I am super excited to do field and finally get the chance to make relationships and teach children.  In the Edinboro education course, we are working on presenting a calender time that is geared toward lower elementary schools to our class.  It is challenging but we have a great group so we always make it fun!  Thanks for reading!  I'll keep you posted on how my road to being a teacher is progressing everyday.

A Twitter Find!

So, I just became a part of the twitter world for my Tech for Ed class and at first I was not happy about it. Although after being on there for about a week now I realize that it is not all bad. I have been finding many interesting posts and following other education students, educators, and principals. I now agree that this is a great resource when used for the proper reasons. One of the more recent interesting things that I came across was a tweet about the 20 movies that every educator should see.  This list includes an overview of the movie and why the educator should see it.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Welcome to OUR classroom!

Hello everyone! Welcome to a part of our future classroom. This is my most recent project for my Tech for Ed class. This presentation is a version of what I will present to my future classroom and there parents. It includes an introduction of myself, my teaching philosophy, and how I plan to integrate technology into my future classroom. Also, attached is a feedback form. If you take the time to read my post please leave me feedback. Thanks, Ms. Tiffani Suszynski

Look What I Found For My Future Classroom...
I recently began to follow eight different teacher, of various grade levels, on the Scholastic website.  Each of the eight teachers is from a different state across the United States and all have a different area of interest.  I feel that this particular blog site will be very beneficial to someone like myself, venturing to become a future teacher, because being from different states means they will all have a different spectrum on the same issue.  Also, because they all have a different area of interest, I feel that with any problem I will come across in my future one of the eight will have my solution at hand.

I LOVE TO TEACH!!

Today, when I went on this blog, the featured teacher was Genia Connell, a third grade teacher from Michigan.  The featured blog was, Help for the Organizational Challenged Teacher, which gave numerous tips on how to keep your classroom organized.  One of my favorite tips from this specific blog post was this.In my mind, this is a smart way to keep your classroom organized   This may not be something that you as the teacher does but I feel that giving out an award to the students for the cleanest desk will promote them to keep their areas clean.  What third grade student does not want an award to take home at the end of the day? And this offers an easy way for them to receive it, and it also helps the teacher out immensely at the end of the day when they are ready to clean the room and go home!
